BSE, NSE to remain closed on Friday for Holi

All the wholesale commodity markets, including those of metals, will stay shut on Friday for Holi.

The February Nikkei PMI Service as well as Composite data is scheduled to be announced in the coming week. Besides, currency and crude oil moves and bonds markets will also be closely watched.

On Thursday, the Nifty50 ended 34.50 points, or 0.3%, lower at 10,458.35 points, while the Sensex closed down 99.36 points, or 0.4%, at 34,046.94 points.

Among sectoral indices, Nifty PSU Bank index fell 1.87% led by a decline in the shares of Indian Bank, Canara Bank and Bank of India.

Coal India, IndusInd Bank, BPCL and Aurobindo Pharma were the top gainers among all indices, while ICICI Bank and SBI were the top losers on the Nifty50.
